Video Podcasts to Go (on a Pocket PC)

Posted in Pocket PC

I was looking to transfer a video podcast (specifically The Daily Eagle) to my Axim x50v. Here’s what I needed to make it happen.

1) The Core Pocket Media Player (TCPMP): plays a large variety of video and audio content including DivX, MPG4, AVI, MP3. Sure beats Windows Media Player!

2) FFMPEG plugin: to decode the H.264 video

3) BetaPlayer AAC plugin: to decode the audio

That’s all I needed to install and bam, I was watching Eagles football.

Still looking for a program to download the video directly to my Pocket PC rather than transferring it from my PC. If you have any recommendations leave a comment!
